Amy Winterrowd
My name is Amy Winterrowd. I have been practicing art since a very young age. It has always been a passion and a focus in my life. Before moving to Ouray, CO in 2005, I successfully ran my own studio in Memphis, TN for over ten years. The work highlighted in this website are projects completed throughout the years starting in 1999, when I went independent, to the present. I continue to travel wherever the commissions take me, from Colorado to Tennessee to many numerous other states. Whichever project I work on, whether it be murals, cabinetry, furniture, or wall finishes, they are like a canvas that can bring a specific style and uniqueness to a living environment. I thrive on creating those differences and take great pride and detail in my work.
These works are some examples of my custom finishes and art which I have completed that illustrate the range and quality available to interior decorators, private homeowners, businesses, and home builders. I am well versed in many mediums, and love to manipulate them to create the perfect finish. I have certification through the Denver School of Applied Arts working with various plaster techniques, but focusing on traditional Lime/Marble Venetian plaster. I feel that with my fine arts background, as well as my extensive knowledge in furniture refinishing, I can provide a large palette of options to create the perfect look.
